Woodwind instrument repair & sales in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire, music tuition and lessons on
recorder, flute, clarinet, saxophone, in Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Halifax,
Huddersfield, Harrogate, York, Scarborough, Northallerton,
Thirsk, Skipton, Easingwold, Knaresborough, Ripon Hi! My name is Steve and I have been repairing woodwind instruments for over 15 years. I was taught to repair by David Fingerhut who is rated as one of the best repairers in the country. During my 15 years, I have dealt with both professional and students and have worked on a variety of instruments – most of my time is now taken up with Clarinets, Saxophones and Flutes.

I have been based in Boroughbridge for 5 years – previous to this, I was in Hertfordshire for 10 years

I invite you to put your instrument into my care for a free check-over. I only complete necessary work. It is advised that instruments should be checked over/serviced every 2 years to ensure they remain in top working order. I use top quality materials; my pads are made specially to order in Italy and France. Whatever your instrument needs are (and whatever your budget needs), I can cater for them!

Whether you need a spring replacing, a tenon cork changing, or a whole saxophone repadded – I’m your man!

Servicing on Clarinets and Flutes – £60

Servicing on Saxophones – £140

Thirsk, Skipton, Easingwold, Knaresborough, Ripon Please be aware that this is an ‘all-in’ price; there are no hidden extras or VAT. I also do work that other repairers charge extra for – levelling tone holes and re-corking tenon joints etc. Smaller work carried out from £5.

All work is normally completed within a week, often sooner. Small jobs can be completed ‘while-you-wait’ if previously booked in.

I am a professional member of NAMIR – National Association of Musical Instrument Repairers (Membership Number: 07354P). My workshop also has full public liability insurance and contents cover so you and your instruments will be safe at all times.

So why not give me a ring to book your instrument in for its service? Holidays are a great time to book instruments in as I am usually quieter, especially during the Summer holidays.
